Cell Talk  concerns imagined ‘conversations’ between Dame Julian of Norwich and Margery Kempe, two real women living in the 14th Century.  It will be presented by two actresses from Cambridge.  The text is based on two books, Julian’s Revelations of Divine Love and Margery’s Book.  The latter, written by Margery Kempe, is autobiographical and the earliest surviving book written in English by a woman.  It is a very honest, lively and often comic description of herself and those she met.

This rehearsed reading will, we hope, be comparable with the very successful John Donne evening which some of you may recall from 2012.

9th April 2017 at St. Mary’s Church, Upper Heyford.
