We are pleased to announce that over the last few weeks, the Parish Council have been working with Chesterton Football club to secure the use of our recreation ground for their extended season (their usual grounds are being used for cricket). This will encompass both training and match-day games for the veterans and Under 10’s teams. Although only for a short while initially, both parties will be looking to see if this could be an ongoing agreement.

A few of the vets team are ex-players from our own village squad from years gone by – it would be great to see some village support (whilst observing current government social distancing guidelines) on match days as we welcome football back to the recreation ground!

Special thanks to Craig O’Brien and David Williamson who repaired the goal posts so they could be used again!
