In a joint project, the Allotments Committee, the Parish Council and Wild Oxfordshire have organised a planting day for hedgerow whips to create a new hedgerow (290 metres) along the top of the allotment land abutting the Portway.

We need residents (lots of them) of all ages to come along on the morning with a spade and help plant the whips.  This hedgerow is going to provide a haven for wildlife for years to come, as more land is built on. Please do your best to come along even if you can only spare an hour.  Free refreshments will be on offer in the Village Hall when completed around lunchtime…hopefully!

For more info please email Sue at  sueblunsdon@aol.com or Jo at  allenjoke@aol.com or turn up on the day on Camp Road (near the width restriction at the Portway junction).
